The foundation of Nations Dog Services' training programs is grounded in rewarding favorable behavior through positive praise. Our sessions are fun and informative, designed to keep owners involved in their dog's development. We find that owners who play an active role in their dog's training programs dramatically improve their dog's behavior and overall skill level.

The object of training is to create a happy and obedient dog. Together we are working to increase the enjoyment, companionship and satisfaction of the relationship between you and your dog.

Obedience Training Programs

We offer a variety of services to accommodate anyone’s schedule or needs.

Obedience Training: Group Lessons

Our group lesson training course is designed for dogs four months and older. The course focuses on basic obedience (sit, down, stay, come and heel), socialization with people and other dogs. The course also includes information on nutrition, grooming and problem solving.

• Weekly for 7 weeks
• CGC (canine good citizen) evaluation

Obedience Training: Private Lessons

Private lessons are one-on-one. With private lessons we are able to spend more time on individual needs and always take in account your dog's age, breed, sex, temperament and personality.

• 1-2 private lesson(s) per week, depending upon your dog's individual needs

Obedience Training: In-Home Lessons

In-home training is designed for those individuals who don’t have the time to properly train their dogs (for effectiveness, a maximum of two dogs can be trained for In-Home Lessons). Basic obedience and home-related behavior concerns are addressed. This is a two-part / two-month course. During month one, your dog(s) come to live with us in our home. During the 1st month, we meet with you once per week to discuss progress and address any questions that you might have. During month two, your dog is back in your home and we meet once per week to ensure that you are able to continue reinforcing what your dog(s) has learned during the 1st month.
